Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has called on prominent Nigerians, including the Ooni of Ife, Eniola Badmus, Desmond Elliot, Funke Akindele, and Toyin Abraham to use their influence and platforms to speak out against the rising insecurity in the country.
Opeyemi made the appeal while reacting to the recent attack in Oyo State, where gunmen reportedly abducted several teachers and pupils from schools in the state. One of the abducted teachers was later reportedly k!lled, with disturbing footage allegedly circulating online afterward.
In a video she shared online, the actress expressed concern over the worsening security situation, stating that if such incidents are happening in Oyo State, then the insecurity is “coming close to home.”
