US Soldier Breaks Down Over Daughter’s Illness in Nigeria While Heading to Duty

A US soldier has become emotional while travelling to her duty post, revealing that she is struggling to remain strong as her daughter battles an illness in Nigeria.

In an emotional video shared on social media, the soldier addressed US President Donald Trump, explaining that she was overwhelmed by her daughter’s situation while still trying to fulfil her responsibilities as a servicewoman.

“Mr. President, this is me on my uniform today, on my way to serve this country. I’m totally overwhelmed by the situation. I was just driving on my way to my duty post right now and couldn’t hold it anymore because I’m overwhelmed by this whole situation about my daughter,” she said.

She explained that several thoughts were running through her mind while she was driving, particularly the difficulty of continuing with her duties while her daughter remained ill in Nigeria.

The soldier said she was making an effort to control her emotions and remain focused despite being unable to have her daughter with her in the United States.

“I’m trying to hold it, I’m trying to fight the feelings that I cannot have my child in this country. But because I was raised in good morals, I’ll pull it together. I’ll keep it strong for my daughter,” she added.

Her emotional appeal has attracted significant attention online, with many people expressing sympathy for the soldier and concern about her daughter’s condition.

Despite the emotional challenges she is facing, the soldier said she remains determined to continue serving her country and protecting the reputation she has built, insisting that the situation would not derail the progress she has made.
