A writer has hilariously described her ex-husband’s reaction whenever she dates a man he thinks is superior to him.

Doyinsola Ilori revealed that she and her ex-husband became friends and even told each other about their current partners by sharing pictures of the two of them.

However, she claimed that whenever she begins dating a man her ex believes is superior to him, their friendship becomes a little shaky. She claims that her ex doesn’t fight her when she is with a man he feels is superior to him, but he cuts her off whenever she is with a better man.

 

She wrote: “This is my ex husband, Kay. 

“We were already divorced in the newer picture.  The newer Pic was the graduation ceremony of the baby I was carrying in the older picture. 

“We initially ended up being friends, and gist each other about our partners.  I know, many of you are 3n3mies with yours.  We weren’t until recently…  Or, he sees me as one now, but I refuse to see him as one. 

“Instead of presenting the compact SUV he was supposed to give me for my 60th, he’s beefing me over a friend he’s cock sure is my boyfriend because he met him in Dec 2024 and accused me of being all over him.  How was I supposed to treat someone I’d invited to a party?  Though divorced, I was all over him too o. 

“I made an observation, despite the divorce, any man he sees around me better than him, causes beef.  He’d cut me off, stop talking to me etc.  But let it be anyone he’s clearly better than, he won’t fight me. 

“I repeat, the average man, (don’t know if this is exclusively a  Nigerian men thing) doesn’t want you to look or be with someone better than him after the break up.  It doesn’t matter who initiated it. 

She added jokingly: “Ọga, stop fighting me o.  Even if he is my bf, so what sef?  Hian. 

“Except a’no born for you, one day, you’d buy that SUV.”
