A young Nigerian woman identified as Sewuese has reportedly d!ed after allegedly being trafficked to Cotonou, Benin Republic, for prostitution.

According to reports, Sewuese passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, in Benue State after she was brought back home in a seriously ill condition.

Activist Zege Orkwande, who has been involved in rescuing t√afficked girls from Benue State, confirmed the incident and vowed that those responsible for traff!cking her would be brought to justice.

In a post, he wrote:

“People are asking, ‘Who took Sewuese to Cotonou?’ Trust my process.

“The people that t√afficked/smuggled her to Cotonou for p√0stitution will surely face the law and serve in prison uniform.

“All information gathered. I’m waiting for her to be buried first. REST WELL.”

The activist added that investigations are ongoing and expressed confidence that everyone involved in the trafficking operation would be identified and prosecuted.
