2027: “I have borrowed ₦3.5m to support Tinubu, others” — Ekiti driver

Adeleye Adeniyi, an Ekiti State minitruck driver, revealed that he borrowed N3.5 million to help President Bola Tinubu, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, and Ekiti State lawmaker Steve Fatoba with their 2027 reelection campaigns.

In an interview with journalists that went viral on Friday, Adeniyi, who is from Ado-Ekiti and is known as “Online Loan Man for BAO,” disclosed his choice.

The driver showed a cardboard check with the Wema Bank name on it during the interview to show how he planned to divide the money among the three politicians.

The breakdown shows that Fatoba would receive N500,000, Bamidele N1 million, and Tinubu N2 million.

Adeniyi clarified that his assessment of the politicians’ performance in office had an impact on his choice to borrow the funds.

Expressing support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition, he said, “I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job.”

Adeniyi stated that he was ready to actively support Tinubu’s reelection campaign in addition to offering financial assistance.

He revealed that he planned to support the President’s bid for a second term with a campaign song.
“I will appeal to my fellow Nigerians that we should demonstrate love by giving him, by voting him for his second term in office, because we are still going to see much more, more than what we have received,” Adeniyi stated

Adeniyi also praised Bamidele and Biodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti State, for what he called their contributions to the state’s development.

In particular, he stated that he thought their efforts had improved rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, and electricity.

Speaking to Bamidele, the driver commended his support for development initiatives and voiced optimism about the senator’s political future.

“Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, this man, I pray that we are still going to higher places. Most times, I look at the kind of projects that you always put on, you always supported. It always encouraged me that, no, indeed, this is a good leader,” he said.
