Nigeria’s Super Eagles defeated Iran 2-1 in an international friendly in Antalya, Turkey, with Moses Simon and Akor Adams scoring the goals in a controlled but tested performance.

Eric Chelle, the head coach, has picked a formidable starting eleven. Maduka Okoye began in goal, and Wilfred Ndidi commanded the midfield alongside Alex Iwobi.

The attackers included Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, and Akor Adams.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles made a quick start, scoring just five minutes. Simon finished clinically following a quick movement started by Chukwueze, cutting inside and shooting past the custodian.

The Super Eagles maintained pressure throughout the first half, creating numerous opportunities.

Adams nearly doubled the advantage after being slipped through by Chukwueze, but his shot from a tight angle struck the side netting.

Iran rallied in the 68th minute with a close-range conversion by Mehdi Taremi, reducing the gap. The striker later thought he had equalised after rounding Okoye, but his attempt was called off for handball.

Iran applied late pressure, but Nigeria kept compact defensively to maintain the lead and win.
