A Nigerian guy posted his mother’s funny response when he presented her with a brand-new iPhone X, which she mistook for an iPhone 17 valued over ₦1 million.
The mother, understandably shocked, couldn’t believe her eyes and demanded to know how he had the money to buy such a costly gift.
Reacting to the gift in the viral video, she said:
“Is this not the expensive iPhone that is trending? Is it not the phone that cost ₦1m? How did you get the money to buy this for me? Wait until your father comes back first so you can explain.”
The young man clarified that it was really an iPhone, but not the one worth millions of naira.
Still doubtful, his mother told him he needed to explain himself better to his father, as she didn’t trust him and was still wondering where he obtained the money.
The post has stirred emotions on social media, with many people applauding the son’s considerate gesture and sharing their own stories of surprising their parents.
