A Nigerian man has reacted when popular TikTok streamer Peller appeared to joke about putting himself, his wife Jarvis, and their unborn children first for an influencer opportunity related to billionaire businessman King Ochacho’s promotional campaign for his son Ice King’s new record.
The backlash came after a tweet linked to Peller surfaced online, in which he proposed selecting influencers for Ochacho’s promotional gig and joked about putting his family at the top of the list.
In the post, Peller stated that Ochacho had assigned him the task of picking influencers for the record promotion.
Then he jokingly declared that the top five spots would go to him, Jarvis, and their three unborn children.
X user @john322226 saw the message and responded to the joke by criticising Peller’s strategy.
If Peller had been trusted to choose influencers for the campaign, he wondered why he would reportedly prioritise himself and his family over other content providers.
“Ochacho give gig to peller to pick influencers and he first pick himself, Jarvis and open account for he 3 unborn kids making it 5 slot for him.
“Walai, Our youth go worst pass our politicians if them give us chance,” he wrote.
Since then, the statement has generated responses on X. While some people disagreed with Peller’s choice to include himself and his family on the list, others saw the post as a joke rather than a serious selection procedure.
The announcement coincides with increased awareness of King Ochacho’s purported $1 million promotional budget for Ice King’s next album. Peller earlier disclosed that he has already been contacted by a number of influencers over the chance.
