A Nigerian man criticized the state of Nigeria’s airport system by drawing comparisons between his experience at an airport in Nigeria and an airport in Qatar.

In an online video, the man called for increased pay for airport workers, saying that Nigerian travelers are frequently asked for cash at different points during the airport process.

“From the gate like this to the board airplane, everybody is begging you for money in Nigeria,” he said.

He contrasted the experience with what he observed in Qatar, where he said the process was more organized and airport staff did not demand payment from passengers.

The man also praised the cleanliness of the airport in Qatar, noting that it was far cleaner than the airport in Lagos, particularly the restrooms.

He said, “I entered Nigeria’s Lagos airport before we came here, the toilets,” before lamenting the state of the facilities.

He urged Nigeria to improve, claiming that better working conditions and systems would make the nation a better place.
