Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Bells has opened up about the painful experience of having her military father k!dnapped years ago, revealing that her family still does not know his whereabouts.

The reality TV star shared the heartbreaking story during an interview with Herodanielstv, explaining that the incident occurred before she turned 20 while she was sitting for her second-semester examinations.

According to Bells, her father was serving in the military when he was k!dnapped. The k!dnappers initially demanded money from the family but later abaπdoned the ransom request and reportedly decided to keep him in their camp.

“My dad was k!dnapped years back. Currently, we do not know his current state. They requested for money, but later rejected the idea, and they said they were going to just keep him in the camp. > > My dad was in the military. This happened before I turned 20. I can remember when this happened, I was writing my second-semester exam when this call came through,” she recounted.

Bells explained that the family did not immediately become alarmed when they lost contact with him because his military duties sometimes kept him away from them for extended periods.

Father reportedly made final contact

She said the family eventually managed to establish contact with her father, who reportedly explained that he had attempted to escape from his captors but was caught and taken back to one of their camps.

According to Bells, her father later told the family that his captors were moving towards Chad and that he might not be able to communicate with them for some time.

The reality star said the call has remained particularly painful for her because she sometimes feels it may have been her father’s final attempt to speak with the family.

“Part of me feels like that was like a goodbye call. The military said it wasn’t, that they would have known if something had happened to him because those people would have sent them the information. So hopefully, we still have faith that he’s alive,” she added.

Bells’ revelation highlights the prolonged uncertainty her family has faced since her father’s disappearance, with no confirmed information about his current condition or whereabouts.

Her story has drawn sympathy online, as viewers expressed concern for Bells and her family and shared hopes that her father is still alive and could one day return home.
