Kewon Dontrell White, the man convicted of killing Dallas rapper Melvin Noble, popularly known as MO3, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

State District Judge Chika Anyiam sentenced the 27-year-old White after a jury returned its verdict late on Friday, September 4.

The sentence was the only option available under Texas law after the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue the d3ath penalty.

MO3 k!lled in 2020 highway ambush

MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble, was sh0t and k!lled on November 11, 2020, during a daytime ambush on Interstate 35 near the exit for the Dallas Zoo.

The 28-year-old rapper was reportedly struck 13 times and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after the sh00ting.

Surveillance footage obtained from a dashboard-mounted camera on a nearby Kroger delivery truck captured the moments surrounding the att@ck.

According to the footage, Noble stopped his sedan in the middle of the highway before getting out of the vehicle. A gunman wearing a ski mask and carrying an a$$ault-style rifle then reportedly chased him into oncoming traffic.

White was subsequently convicted in connection with Noble’s k!lling and has now been sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole.
