While the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) office was being raised in the state’s Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area, a mob k!.lled at least three suspected motorcycle thieves. 

The incident happened at the NSCDC’s Danmaje Quarters Divisional Office in Dawakin Kudu on December 28, 2025, around 9:00 p.m. 

Sources claim that three suspects were previously detained by NSCDC employees stationed at the office for allegedly ste@ling motorcycles. According to the source, enraged young people with lethal weapons organized in large numbers after the arrest and stormed the NSCDC office, demanding that the suspects be released so they could lynch them. 

“They overpowered the NSCDC personnel, chased them out of the office and set both the office and the suspects ablaze,” the source said. 

Security personnel later visited the scene, according to sources, and the victims were taken to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where medical staff declared them d£•d. 

After that, the bodies were placed in the hospital’s mortuary.
