“I have done my part…” – Sowore speaks after BLord’s bail release

Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist, spoke out when the Federal High Court in Abuja granted bail to bitcoin inventor Linus Williams Ifejirika, also known as BLord.

The verdict comes after days of public focus on the case, with reports indicating that tensions have subsided and the situation is finally beginning to calm.

As part of the bail restrictions, the court ordered the seizure of his international passport, preventing him from travelling while the proceedings are ongoing.

Sowore confirms the bail outcome.
Sowore confirmed the development shortly after the verdict, noting that his involvement in the case was terminated.

In his words: “I have done my part in this case. BLORD has been granted bail…

He also stated that activism has consequences and that he is prepared for whatever may result from his actions.

Sowore emphasised that his role was not personal, but part of a larger lobbying campaign. He indicated that the bail signalled the end of this stage of collaboration.

According to him, he is now focusing on other outstanding cases and bigger political concerns in preparation for future elections.

He also advised Nigerian youths to remain united and focus on responsibility in governance rather than internal issues, emphasising that division impedes collective progress.
