A Nigerian lady has recounted how her former university roommate allegedly faked a pr3gnancy to collect ₦300,000 from a man she was in the talking stage with.
The lady, identified as @ado_zuleeyhart on X (formerly Twitter), claimed her roommate sent a photo of a pr3gnancy test strip to the man, who was living in Lagos, and told him she was pr3gnant.
According to her, the roommate also claimed she intended to terminate the pr3gnancy, prompting the man to plead with her to keep it.
She alleged that the man immediately sent ₦200,000 in support and later transferred an additional ₦100,000 after being told the money was needed for antenatal registration.
She wrote:
> “To celebrate, he immediately sent her ₦200k. I even got my own cut. That wasn’t the end. She later billed him another ₦100k for antenatal registration and he sent it without asking a single question.”
According to the X user, her roommate allegedly spent the money on a new phone, clothes, and hair.
She further claimed that the roommate eventually blocked the man—not because he discovered the alleged deception, but because she believed he was too trusting.
> “Eventually, she blocked him, not because he found out, but because she became convinced he was too trusting and that God would punish us someday. Some guys are just so weird.”
The claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no public response from the man involved.
