A Nigerian woman has sparked debate online after explaining how some regular encounters remind her of the realities of being single.
According to her, going to the mechanic alone to fix her car often makes her think about what life might be like if she were married.
“Anytime I come to the mechanic to repair my car alone, that’s when I realise how single life really affects me,” she said.
She explained that she believes things would be different if she had a partner, as her husband would most likely handle such situations or make accommodations for her.
However, she was careful to explain that her feelings are not motivated by desperation, but rather by the emotional strain of dealing with everything on her own.
Many reactions have followed her confession.
One user wrote, “Single life no easy at all. We all need support sometimes. 😩” Another added, “Men will always remain the price, thought you all can do without us.”
