The passing of Mayowa, also known as Mayorwhiz, a recent first-class graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has left friends and companions in sadness.

Mayowa, who purportedly graduated with first-class honours, was believed to be working as a dispatch rider in Ogun State to supplement his income after completing his studies.

According to online sources, the deceased was riding a Qlink dispatch motorcycle when he collided fatally with a red Lexus ES 350 outside the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta’s Kuto neighbourhood on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

According to an online accident record, the crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. on the inbound Kuto subway.

Mayowa was reportedly presumed dead at the scene of the collision, and his body was later transported to a general hospital in an FRSC van.

Two male Lexus occupants allegedly fled the scene after the crash, according to the complaint.

Friends, coworkers, and companions are reportedly in sorrow after learning of Mayowa’s passing, especially because the young graduate had just finished college and was rumoured to have taken up dispatch riding as a way to support himself.

Uncertainty surrounds the crash’s causes as well as the identity and locations of the two occupants who are said to have fled the scene.
