A Nigerian woman living overseas has received praise online after giving an emotional tribute to her supporting and hard-working spouse.
In a popular video shared on X (previously Twitter), she described the daily sacrifices he makes for his family while working long hours.

“Daddy goes to work for five nights and only sleeps at home for two nights. When he comes back, he still takes Chinedu to school as early as 8am. He doesn’t rest and still manages to stay away till 12pm, just to take him.”
Even when he gets home, he doesn’t stop to rest. By 3 p.m., he still returns to pick up the kids from school, showers and feeds them, and makes sure everything is in order before heading back to work.
He works 12 hours a day, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and still does everything for his family gladly and without complaint.
He does not pay visits to his buddies, and no one has ever knocked on their doors.
“When he comes back to stay with us, he doesn’t get any sleep, but at 3pm he still goes to your school to pick you up.
He showers and feeds us, and as soon as he finishes, he goes to dress up for work. Daddy will lay down his life for all of us without thinking twice,” she added.
The woman also described an especially traumatic moment from 2023, when the individual legally sponsoring them in the country lost their licence, putting the family in jeopardy.
Her post moved many netizens, who praised her father’s sacrifices and undying love. Many hailed him as a “real-life hero” and “an example of dedication and selflessness.”
