Francis Duru’s old video debunking illness rumours resurfaces following reports of his demise

A video of Nollywood actor Francis Duru debunking rumours about his health has resurfaced online following reports of his death.

In the clip, the actor maintained that he was never critically ill and expressed confidence that he would keep getting stronger.

Duru attributed the rumours to what he called the work of the “merchant of darkness,” accusing those behind them of seeking online traffic and being unwilling to celebrate other people’s success.

The late actor also faulted the spread of false information on social media, warning that the internet was in trouble if circulating unverified rumours had become its purpose.

Read what he said below;

“My dear fans, greetings to you all. Thank you for always being there with your prayers.
Our desire is to be the best, make the best, and make the world a better place.
I am making this video in regard to the wicked videos circulating about me being sick. I have never been that sick and never will be, and by God’s grace, I will keep getting stronger and stronger.
That video is the handiwork of merchants of darkness and wickedness; people who sit and concoct negativity for people. You don’t want to see people rising; you don’t just believe in people’s success, all in the name of driving traffic.
If this is what social media is all about, then we are in big trouble indeed.
But I’m just telling you this so you know it’s me talking to you. Anything beyond this is their business. But I believe God will reach out to the guys who are doing this”.
