Dotun, a popular on-air personality, has responded to Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh’s recent reconciliation with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.
Dotun responded to Tonto’s forgiveness message by stating that, in his opinion, Tonto is not the victim in the case, despite the public reunion.
He believes that if forgiveness is truly necessary, Churchill deserves it after years of damaging myths and public allegations.
Read what he tweeted below:
“Tonto is not the victim here. Yes, she forgave, but I think if anyone needs to forgive anyone here, it’s Churchill.
She might have been in the marriage, but I wish her forgiveness note was more detailed, especially in addressing the labels and tags. The stigma and reputation attached to that man will never be erased.”

Dotun accepted Tonto’s role in the marriage, but condemned her forgiveness message for its lack of substance.
He emphasised that it neglected to address the long-term consequences of the allegations levelled against Churchill and the harm they did to his public image.
His statement has provoked heated controversy online.
While some agreed with Dotun, claiming Churchill’s reputation suffered irrevocable damage, others backed Tonto, noting that forgiveness did not require public explanations.
Dotun observed that forgiveness extends beyond words, particularly when public stigma is involved.
