Nwachi secured the party’s ticket through a direct primary held in Afikpo, polling 297 delegate votes to emerge as the consensus candidate.

Speaking after her emergence, the former Minority Leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly vowed to “serve herself last” if elected into the Nigerian Senate, promising massive empowerment and development projects for the people of Ebonyi South.

She also praised PDP governorship hopeful, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, describing him as a compassionate leader capable of transforming Ebonyi State.

Party stakeholders at the event expressed confidence in Nwachi’s ability to deliver victory for the PDP in the 2027 elections.
