“I will b3at him, he’s all hype” — Speed Darlington challenges Burna Boy to boxing match

Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has challenged his colleague, Burna Boy, to a boxing match, insisting that the Grammy-winning artiste would not be able to defeat him in the ring.

Speaking during a recent interview with Hip TV, the ‘Akpi’ crooner reportedly challenged Burna Boy to a physical contest and pledged to spend a huge sum of money for the opportunity to fight him.

Speed Darlington also boasted about his fighting ability, arguing that Burna Boy’s popularity and musical success would not give him an advantage in a physical contest.

“I am challenging him”

In his words:

“I challenge Burna Boy to fight me. I will drop a huge sum just to fight him. I want to f!ght him. I will beat him. He’s all hype. He can’t beat me. Just because some people like his music doesn’t mean he can beat me. I am challenging him,” he said.

The latest challenge comes months after another controversial boxing encounter involving Speed Darlington and fellow singer Portable.

Portable previously claimed Burna Boy rewarded him

In April, Portable claimed that Burna Boy gifted him ₦20 million after he defeated Speed Darlington in a boxing match.

Portable alleged that Burna Boy gave him the money because he had beaten Speed Darlington, who had repeatedly mocked the Grammy-winning singer and made allegations concerning his relationship with embattled American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and the circumstances surrounding Burna Boy’s Grammy award.

Speed Darlington’s latest challenge has since generated reactions among fans, with many curious about whether Burna Boy would respond to the call for a boxing bout.
