A lady shared an interesting experience from her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) days when she suddenly received ₦770,000 instead of the promised ₦77,000 payment.

The woman, known online as Glowrites, said that she had never discussed her story with anyone, even her parents.

According to her, she checked the credit alert several times in astonishment before revealing the surprise payment to her flatmate, who was also stunned.

The lady explained that the incident occurred during a very difficult financial era, making the unexpected money even more appealing.

She recalled, “I was broke that time o, Very broke. So seeing ₦770k sitting in my account was looking like God had finally remembered me.”

She said that before realising the money did not belong to her, she started thinking about what she could do with it.

The lady said, “Then I remembered something. This money wasn’t mine.”

Despite her financial circumstances at the time, she later made the decision to repay the extra money.

In retrospect, the former corps member stated that she learned a valuable lesson about being honest in the face of temptation.

She reflected, “It was one of those moments where you realise that being honest is easy until there’s something very tempting sitting right in front of you”

She insisted that she ultimately decided to return money that was not hers, even though she can still recall the ₦770,000.
