The 44-year-old stated in an emotional video posted online that doctors have warned he would not live past the next few weeks, raising questions over whether he will make it to 2027.
Ray J clarified that his body, particularly his heart, has suffered greatly as a result of years of heavy drinking and constant partying.
He stated that medical professionals informed him that his heart is only functioning at 25% of its potential, making him weak and ill all the time.
The musician claimed he once drank multiple bottles of booze in one night, stating the lifestyle choices he made earlier in life have finally caught up with him.
He claimed he now constantly worries about his future and called the scenario terrifying.
Ray J disclosed plans to visit Haiti in the upcoming weeks to investigate alternate treatment options in an attempt to survive.
He claimed that the choice was made out of desperation because traditional medical treatments haven’t provided much comfort thus far.
The announcement came after he was treated for acute pneumonia and heart-related suffering during a recent hospital stay in Las Vegas.
He has a history of health issues that have kept him out of the public eye, which this episode adds to.
Ray J expressed his sincere gratitude to his parents for supporting him during the ordeal in the video.
He also extended particular thanks to his sister, Brandy, stating she has been helping him cover medical and living bills.
