“Davido please talk to your dad” — Adeleke University students allegedly decry poor living conditions

Some persons claiming to be Adeleke University students have expressed concerns about the institution’s living and learning circumstances, despite the apparently substantial tuition fees paid each year.

In an internet video, a complaint claimed that despite paying ₦2.5 million each year, students experience significant obstacles on school.

“Adeleke University with suffering and smiling. They pay nothing less than 2.5 million per year to be constantly treated like animals,” the message read, expressing frustration over the alleged situation at the private university.

The complainant further alleged that essential services like water and power are not always available, making it impossible for pupils to attend courses and conduct everyday activities.

The message also claimed that the school’s food and medical facilities are insufficient for students who rely on the institution for their well-being.

“Students can’t make it to class because something as simple as water, light, they can’t provide for them. Their food and medical system is bad,” the complainant stated, describing what they believe are ongoing challenges faced by students on campus.

The source further alleged that many students are scared to speak out openly about the difficulties for fear of being disciplined.

According to the message, several students are concerned that openly filing concerns may result in expulsion.

“Every student is so scared to speak out because they expel them the moment they do,” the message alleged, before appealing to Nigerian singer Davido to intervene by bringing the concerns to the attention of his father, Adedeji Adeleke, the founder of the university. “Davido please talk to your dad,” the message concluded.
