Today, October 1st, a tragic incident has been reported along Imo State’s Onitsha-Owerri Road.
According to reports, gunmen abducted a number of travelers, including corps members en route to their orientation camps. Witnesses claim that at least two commercial busses were attacked, and both the drivers and all of the passengers were removed. It also affected other cars on the road.
Family members were spotted at Uko Akwa Ibom Motors Park in Samonda, Ibadan, where the victims allegedly boarded, according to a video that has gone viral. The bus was traveling to the Akwa NYSC camps.
Everyone in the bus ahead of them, including the driver, was abducted, according to a survivor who managed to flee the attack and captured footage of an abandoned bus on the highway.
Another mother reported that her daughter, who departed Ibadan this morning, sent the message “k!dn@pp£r” to their family’s WhatsApp group and hasn’t been in contact since.
The precise number of individuals, k!snapped has not been revealed and Authorities have not yet issued an official statement, and dn@pp£d incident has not yet been verified.
