Four suspects have been taken into custody by members of the Katsina State Police command in relation to a mob action that resulted in the d3ath of one KC Joe at Kokami village in the state’s Danja Local Government Area.

Abubakar Sadiq, the command’s spokesperson, stated in a statement that KC Joe, the victim, and someone named Ibrahim Auwal had a preliminary argument before the tragic event. Their small disagreement soon descended into v!olence. During the fight, Joe allegedly st@bbed Ibrahim Khalil Auwal.

The victim was rushed to Abdullahi Makama Hospital in Dabai, where he was later confirmed de@d. Following the news of his de@th, some angry youths in the community mobilised, attacked Joe, k!lled him, and set his body ablaze along the highway.

Sadiq mentioned that four persons have been arrested in connection with the mob action.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ali Fage, condemned the unfortunate incident, urging the members of the public to always report issues to the nearest police station and avoid taking laws into their own hands.

He further called on the public to remain law-abiding, as he assured that the case will be thoroughly investigated to ensure justice is served and those involved will face the full force of the law.
