A close associate and friend of popular artist Segun Johnson has came out to refute the breakup accusations made by his supposed ex-girlfriend following her viral allegations.

This comes after a TikTok video by a woman named @debrakin, in which she said their 13-year relationship ended abruptly, accusing him of deception and manipulating her.

She said that the entertainer broke their long-term relationship with a voice note after she moved from the UK to Nigeria for him.

However, Segun’s companion insists that the entire tale is different. According to him:

“She went to Nigeria for makeup tutorials for three months and then came back, saying she wanted to be closer to Segun. Meanwhile, Segun has been very supportive of her.”

They also claimed that Segun had financially supported her throughout the relationship, paying her school fees and rent in the UK, covering her rent on the island earlier this year, and even providing her money to start herself up.

Segun apparently repeatedly told her that he couldn’t marry her, and it was never hinted otherwise.

He further said that Debrakin had promised that if he did not marry her, she would try to bring him down.

“Believe her at your own risk,” the associate added, urging the public to be cautious before accepting the allegations as fact.

The incident has elicited diverse emotions online, with some admirers urging Segun to reveal his side of the story, while others expressed amazement at the apparent separation and contradicting explanations.
