A critical young leader, entrepreneur, employer of labour, politician and community mobilizer, Chief Hon. Samuel Obe Ngobe has just been gunned down by unknown assailants in his home town of Ebubu, Eleme.

Sketchy reports have it that he was shot right in his hotel by two masked okada riders.
The incident took place before his employees, Friday May 22, morning hours, after the assailants had snatched cell phones from them.

It is yet to be uncovered whether this murder has any political or clannish connection as the victim, who is both community and business mogul is also highly politically exposed.

Late Chief Hon. Samuel Obe Ngobe was a member of the defunct ELEME COMPANIES RELATIONS BAREAU ECRB under the immediate past LGA administration.

We look forward to the LGA Administration and relevant security agencies to carry out proactive probes to unravel those behind this dastardly act, as this sad occurrence is strange especially about a man who has been a dispassionate helper of his people and employer of so many youths from Eleme LGA and beyond.
