A Nigerian woman has jokingly bemoaned her husband’s tendency to spend more time on his phone than paying attention to her, suggesting that he ought to have wed the gadget.

She confronted her spouse over ignoring her after coming home from work in a video posted on X (previously Twitter).

She claims that the man didn’t call her before leaving for work in the morning, so she had to be the one to contact him. He stayed hooked to his phone, despite her expectations that he would spend some time with her after arriving home.

“Most times, you prefer to hold your phone than to hold me. Later, you will start saying women are too harsh,” she said.

In the hopes that he would ultimately come to the bed and spend time with her, she clarified that she had even requested him to bring his leg so she could massage it.

But rather than seizing the chance to approach her, he stayed seated and used her to watch reels while flipping between phones.

She observed that he even picked up the phone she had left unattended so he could keep watching the same kinds of movies.

“Even my phone that I abandoned there, you still took it to watch the same reels. You should have paid the dowry of a phone instead and get married to it,” she added.
