After completing her divorce and ending a four-year legal battle, Emerald Chizy, a Nigerian woman, has opened up. 

Emerald discussed the psychological, financial, and emotional toll the divorce case had on her in a string of Facebook posts on Wednesday. 

She claims that false accusations, threats, and harassment plagued the case, with her ex-husband accusing her of having extramarital affairs. 

Emerald claimed that her ex promised to frustrate her in court so she would drop the case, even though he remarried during their separation and committed bigamy..

Reflecting on her marriage, which she described as “Egypt”, Emerald recalled looking like a 72-year-old woman while in her late 20s. 

“Married= 2014. Had the twins= 2016,” she wrote.

“Separated= 2019. Filed for divorce= 2022. Got divorced= 2026.

“I was in and out of court for 4 years.
I spent money that ran in millions. I fought a battle that put my life on the line. 

“My mental health was a disaster, my finance almost crumbled.
