A Nigerian lady has posted her marriage tale online after supposedly marrying at the age of 47 and having two children with her younger spouse.

In a Facebook post, the woman stated that she had little hope of having children when she married because she believed she was already nearing menopause.

She also mentioned how some people tried to prevent her husband from marrying her because of her age, and how certain members of his family supposedly detested her because he had turned down younger women they had introduced him.

The woman revealed that she married at the age of 47, which some people considered too old to have children.

“Let me bring this out finally. I married at the age of 47 and I had no hope of having a child because to me I was almost close to menopause and many saw me as old package,” she wrote.

It is said that a number of individuals, including his mother, attempted to dissuade her husband from marrying her, but he disregarded them.

“He ignored everyone including his mom. We got married against all odds,” she stated.

She continued by saying that several of her husband’s family members openly expressed their distaste for her because they had introduced him to younger ladies, whom he turned down before deciding to wed her.

Her husband took her to Ghana for their honeymoon, where they spent many months, and their first year of marriage was characterised as being incredibly blissful.

She reported that her husband did not let her do much around the house after she returned to Nigeria.

The woman also addressed their age gap, saying that although she is older than her spouse, the way he spoils her has made her appear younger.

“I am not ashamed to say that I am older than my husband and right now I look younger than him because of how he pampers me, made me feel like a baby even when I’m older. My husband was 44 when we got married,” she wrote.
