A woman told the tale of a father who, after his teenage son constantly mistreated his mother while the family was living in the UK, sent him back to Nigeria.
The narrator claims that the man moved to the UK with his wife and their 14-year-old son. But the teenager allegedly started talking back to his mother and disobeying her roughly five years later.
When the youngster allegedly yelled at his mother during a disciplinary session and called her by her full name rather than with respect, she said the situation worsened.
The woman said, “Rita Okoji you’re a bad mom.”
She claims that at first, the father told his wife to stop fighting with the teenager without indicating that he intended to step in right away.
She went on to say that roughly three weeks later, the father ordered his son to go with him to the airport, where the man’s brother was supposedly waiting to pick up the youngster before sending him back to Nigeria.
Later, she quoted the father as saying, “You can’t disrespect my wife and get away with it.”
The wife claims that the father made the decision for his kid to finish his university studies in Nigeria before going back to the UK.
The young man is presently a 300-level student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), she said.
Reactions to the news on social media have been conflicting. Some readers questioned if sending the adolescent away was the best course of action, while others applauded the father’s move as a stern lesson in discipline and respect.
Discussions concerning parenting, discipline, and raising children after moving overseas are still fuelled by this narrative.
