Ajoke Taiwo, the first wife of late Nollywood star Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, has discussed her late husband since his passing.

Ajoke, who claimed to have been married to the seasoned actor for almost 30 years, characterised him as a loving spouse who was significant in her life.

In an emotional conversation, she revealed this while thinking back on their marriage and the actor’s passing.

Ajoke disclosed that she was an actress before quitting to concentrate on raising their kids and that she met Taiwo Hassan through the film industry.

She stated the late star was a devoted husband who supported her through trying times.

“I am Ajoke Taiwo, the first wife of Ogogo. He was a very good man, a caring husband and he truly loved me. He was like a father and mother to me. He stood by me during the times of trial. He was my everything.”

Regarding his passing, she stated that the loss had left a deep wound that she thought would never fully heal.

“What God took from me is so big and it really hurts me but I can’t question Him. This is a wound that can never heal.”

Ajoke also remembered how her late husband would behave if she became really upset with him.

She said Taiwo Hassan would experience so intense emotional distress that he would finally need medical attention.

“He never wanted me to get angry at him. Whenever I get extremely angry, he used to land at the hospital because he would be so hurt.”

The remarks were made soon after the actor’s passing and funeral, which drew tributes from loved ones, coworkers, and other supporters.

After disclosing that the actor had been fighting stage-four cancer, Taiwo Hassan’s daughter had earlier confirmed his passing.

Several Nollywood celebrities and other mourners attended the veteran actor’s funeral at Ilaro, Ogun State.
