Senior Pastor of Global Impact Church, Yemi Davids, has advised female worshippers to dress modestly, warning that revealing outfits in church can create the wrong impression and distract other congregants.

Speaking during a recent church service, the cleric expressed concern about what he described as a growing trend of inappropriate dressing among some women attending worship gatherings.

Davids said he had noticed instances where tight-fitting clothing and short tops exposed underwear lines and body contours, which he believes are unsuitable for a place of worship.

According to him, Christians should be mindful of their appearance before leaving home, particularly when attending church services.

He further lamented that some female worshippers wear outfits that reveal too much of their bodies, making certain features visible even to people seated at the back of the church.

“I’m appalled to see somebody come to church with everything so tight. The top is only to your waist, and people sitting at the back can see everything. It’s not okay,” he stated.

Davids argued that the way people dress often influences how they are perceived by others.

“What you are willing to show can make it appear as though you are willing to share it. It creates a certain impression,” he said.
