A Nigerian man’s article about his encounter while boarding a bus has gone popular online, recounting the aftermath.

In a post on his X account, @Chiomaforkeeps, the man revealed that the incident occurred in 2025, when two people purchased two bottles of water at a checkpoint.

According to the X user, the adolescent hurried to catch up with the bus as the others sought to withdraw cash from their pockets.

However, he threw ₦500 to the adolescent, resulting in an unexpected outcome.

‎”The little boy was really running hard to catch up , I had 500 naira cash on hand so I threw it out for him , the guy picked it and the one that got the water also saw me throwing the money”, He added.

As a result, he passed his phone to a classmate near him, grabbed the person, and eventually received his reimbursement.

“I gave my phone to my coursemate beside me, I was ready to go down with this guy , grabbed him inside the bus I really wan deck am, until he gave me the money” He stated, recounting how the situation unfolded.
