One Nagya from Niger State boarded a boat without a life jacket, claiming he was trusting God for a safe journey, despite the nation’s preventable boat accidents. 

“I’ve never been in a canoe before, and there isn’t a life jacket. We simply have faith in God. He posted on Facebook on Sunday, asking people to “pray for us and wish us a safe journey.”
