A Florida math teacher was arrested for allegedly having s3x with a student after it was discovered that her alleged victim had lied to his parents.
According to court documents obtained by WPEC-TV, Kirsten Rose, 37, was taken into custody on Friday, April 10, five months after she began corresponding with the boy on Instagram outside of class.
They reportedly had s3x in February and March and kept talking into the new year. The boy’s parents were worried when he came home late from work one evening.
They discovered that he was in a strange house, and when questioned, he said he was with his “girlfriend,” but he did not mention Rose.
The boy’s parents persisted in questioning him, and when he acknowledged that he was seeing his teacher, the illegal tryst was revealed.
Rose, who taught at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School, was charged with five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and is being held without bond at the Brevard County Jail following a police probe.
Her arraignment is set for May 5, and the investigation remains ongoing.
