Verydarkman, a Nigerian social media activist, has cautioned Nigerian phone sellers against inflating the price of the recently introduced iPhone 18. If local prices get too high, he would assist customers in buying the device directly from China.

VeryDarkman claimed to have visited an Apple Store and verified the release of the iPhone 18 in a video from China.

He claimed that Nigerian company owners would raise the cost of the new gadget, which he claimed might also raise the cost of the earlier iPhone 17.

He stated that he had already ordered the new iPhone and anticipated receiving it on September 18, 2026.

In response to phone dealers who might accuse him of attempting to disrupt their operations, Verydarkman insisted that he would purposefully step in if they raised their prices too much.

“I just reach Apple Store for China. iPhone 18 just come out, and I know una for Nigeria una go inflate the price. And you know the problem with you inflating the price is that the 17 now go come dey more expensive. I know where una wan carry this thing go.

“Now like this, I dey China. I don order now. It’s going to come on the 18th. Una know me. Business people, una go talk say I wan spoil business for una. Una go hate me. But I go spoil am.

“If I hear the price go up, I go help people dey buy dey bring am come Nigeria.”
