A media aide to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has publicly called on social media activist VeryDarkMan to apologise to Enoch Adejare Adeboye over his recent remarks about the cleric.
In a statement shared online, Ossai warned that in$ulting Pastor Adeboye could attract what he described as “spiritual consequences.”
According to him, VeryDarkMan was wrong to criticise the RCCG General Overseer, insisting that the cleric is focused on praying for Nigeria rather than aligning with any political group.
He said:
“I have called on Very Dark Man to apologize to Pastor E.A. Adeboye, but he is proving difficult.
“He may think he is building clout with his followers by att@cking spirituality and dragging a man of God. But there are lines you do not cross.”
Ossai further stated:
“You cannot be rude to an iroko tree and expect to live long.”
Maintaining that Pastor Adeboye had done nothing wrong, he argued that the cleric is often criticised whenever he does not meet some people’s expectations on national or political issues.
He added:
“Pastor Adeboye is of God. He is not holding brief for any man or political camp. He is standing in the gap for the nation before God.”
He also claimed that those who insult what he described as “a true servant of God” risk facing spiritual consequences.
Concluding his statement, Ossai urged VeryDarkMan to withdraw his remarks and apologise to Pastor Adeboye.
