Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has claimed he received information alleging that the Oyo State Government paid a ransom for the release of 39 schoolchildren and seven teachers abd¥cted by armed k!dnappers.

According to VeryDarkMan, the k!dnappers allegedly refused to release the victims despite the reported payment.

He further claimed that, as of the time he made the statement, the children and teachers had spent 49 days in captivity.

In his words:

“Yesterday, I got an information that the Oyo state government paid rans0m for the release of the 39 children and 7 teachers that was abd¥ct£d by baπd!ts. It is said that after the government made the payment, the k!dnapp£rs still refused to release the children and teachers. As of today they have spent exactly 49 days in captivity.”

The claims have not been independently verified. As of the time of the statement, neither the Oyo State Government nor security agencies had publicly confirmed that any ransom was paid or verified the allegations.
