The United Kingdom government has published a list of 45 countries and territories whose citizens are required to obtain a visa before entering the UK or transiting through the country via a route that involves immigration clearance.
The information was made available on the official UK government website and covers nationals from countries across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Americas.
Landside transit refers to situations where a traveller passes through a UK port of entry and must go through immigration control. This differs from airside transit, where passengers remain within the international section of an airport without passing through UK border control.
