Trump Jokes About Running for President a Fourth Time Despite Constitutional Limit

U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked fresh reactions after joking about seeking the presidency for a fourth time, despite the U.S. Constitution prohibiting it.

Speaking during the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, Trump made the light-hearted remark while addressing guests at the annual event.

His comment drew laughter from the audience, as the U.S. Constitution limits presidents to serving a maximum of two elected terms.

The dinner, which celebrates press freedom and recognises excellence in journalism, was held three months after its previous edition was cancelled following a shooting incident.

Trump’s remarks have since generated discussion online, with some viewing the comment as a joke, while others debated its political implications.
