“They took everything” — Man cries out after thieves steal welding machines

A welder broke down in tears after suspected thieves entered into his workplace and stole his welding tools and engine, causing him great distress.

The episode, captured in a viral video circulating on social media, shows a visibly distressed man bemoaning the loss of the instruments he needs for daily living.

According to him, the thieves not only stole his equipment, but also machinery from other welders who stored their gear in the same spot.

What did I do to you people? I don’t owe anybody. I didn’t steal anyone’s property. This hustle I’m managing to survive, you people came and carried it away. You took my engine and even carried other people’s own that were here. What did I do to deserve this? I just got to my shop and didn’t see my engine again. Even other people’s machines kept here were taken.”

The victim claimed that the stolen items reflected years of hard labour, sacrifice, and hardship, pointing out that welding was his sole source of income.

He noted that the loss has left him puzzled and helpless, as he no longer has the means to support himself or his family.

The incident has once again highlighted the growing vulnerability that small business owners and craftspeople face across the country, with many operating without insurance or external backing. For many welders and artisans, losing work tools typically results in immediate unemployment and financial disaster.
