“They slept so deep that they didn’t move their bodies” – Nigerian lady recounts terrifying experience after boarding suspicious bus

A Nigerian woman has shared a disturbing experience she allegedly encountered while travelling from a village near Akure, saying she feared she was being k!dnapped after boarding a suspicious bus.

In a video posted on TikTok, she explained that she had waited by the roadside for more than an hour before eventually boarding a vehicle heading to Ilesha. Shortly after the journey began, she noticed that most of the passengers appeared to be asleep.

Narrating the incident in Yoruba, she said:

> “On turning my back, I noticed that the people who were asleep were more than those who were awake. I was shocked, but I thought they could be coming from a far destination and were tired.”

She said her concern deepened when nearly everyone in the bus remained asleep, leaving only one other passenger awake. According to her, the driver ignored her repeated requests to stop the vehicle.

The woman also claimed there was no mobile network coverage in the area, preventing her from reaching her family for assistance.

> “The other guy that was awake told me, ‘Sister, don’t stress yourself. I have also been shouting that I want to alight, but no one answered me.’ At that moment, I became very scared,” she recalled.

She further alleged that the bus continued past her intended stop despite her repeated pleas to be dropped off.

Her account has since generated reactions on social media, with many users urging travellers to remain vigilant when boarding vehicles in unfamiliar areas.

According to the woman, she and the other passenger were eventually dropped off in a bush far from their intended destinations. She added that she still wonders where the other passengers, who remained asleep throughout the journey, were being taken.
