Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has generated outrage after implying that her divorce from estranged spouse, Frederick Leonard, has been finalised.

The actress took to Instagram Story to express her thankfulness to God, giving a brief message that many interpreted as confirmation that the legal process had been completed.

“Thank you, Jesus. It is done,” she wrote.

Peggy also reposted a congratulatory message from her colleague, Angela Eguavoen, who celebrated the development with the words, “My queen is free!! Hallelujah.”

The most recent update comes months after Peggy openly accused Frederick of having an affair with a married lady with children. She further claimed that the actor routinely postponed their divorce procedures by failing to appear in court after receiving legal notices.

At the time, Peggy uploaded a video of Frederick and his claimed lover at a public event, imploring him not to miss another court appearance.

Earlier this year, when celebrating his birthday, Frederick hinted at a new chapter in his life, claiming to have discovered a happier version of himself.

Around the same time, Peggy posted a cryptic remark stating that she had chosen herself, which many admirers assumed was meant at the actor.

On November 19, 2022, the couple married in Asaba, Delta State, in a star-studded traditional wedding ceremony.
