Tems and Burna Boy, two Nigerian musicians, have achieved the most entries on the U.S.

Billboard Hot 100 chart, setting a new standard for African performers.

The South African band Seether, who each had seven entries, previously shared the record.

Tems and Future collaborated on the song Bounce Road Blues, which debuted at number 34, and Burna Boy had an appearance on Only You, which peaked at number 78.

Both musicians now have eight Hot 100 entries overall, more than any other African performer to date, thanks to these places.

Tems is the African artist with the most entries this year, having gained three Hot 100 entries in 2026 alone with Raindance featuring Dave, What You Need, and her most recent single, Bounce Road Blues.

As the first African musician to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 for six years in a row, Burna Boy has now solidified his reputation.

Loved By You (2021), Sittin’ On Top Of The World and Talibans II (2023), Just Like Me and We Pray (2024), WGFT (2025), Last Last (2022), and Only You (2026) are some of his prior hits.

Given that both musicians are still well-known on a global scale, this accomplishment not only demonstrates his consistency but also the influence of African music.
