Leroy Wright Jr., a 46-year-old former reading teacher at Miami Jackson Senior High School, has been arrested in Florida over allegations involving inappropriate conduct with a student.

According to reports, the arrest followed a rapid investigation after an anonymous tip was sent to the school’s principal on April 28, alleging that Wright was involved in a “relationship” with a student. The matter was escalated to the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department on May 7, leading to his arrest on May 8.

Investigators reportedly interviewed the tipster and the alleged victim, who stated that he first met Wright through a Freshman Club the teacher supervised. The student also described an incident involving a prolonged knss that allegedly took place inside a classroom.

Authorities have not disclosed further details as the investigation continues, and the case remains under review by relevant school and law enforcement officials.
