“It felt like I was deported” – Nigerian lady recounts being denied boarding during Doha stopover on trip to Canada

A Nigerian lady has shared her heartbreaking experience after she was reportedly denied boarding during a stopover in Doha while travelling to Canada.

In a video shared online, she said she initially believed the situation was a misunderstanding until airline officials informed her that she would not be allowed to continue her journey and would instead have to return to Nigeria.

According to her, officials questioned her about the amount of cash she was carrying, her luggage and what she did for a living before informing her that she could not board her connecting flight.

She revealed that she had to pay for accommodation in Doha and also purchase flight tickets back to Nigeria.

Describing the experience as heartbreaking, the lady said it felt as though she had been deported, even though she was stopped during transit and never reached her final destination.

Her story has since sparked reactions on social media, with many users expressing sympathy while others advised travellers to ensure they fully understand airline and immigration requirements before embarking on international trips.
