“Stop hiding g0ssip behind your hallelujahs” — Pastor Laurie Idahosa speaks against gossip

Laurie Idahosa has shared a series of posts speaking out against g0ssip and careless use of words.

The wife of Bishop Faith Idahosa cautioned against talking negatively about others behind their backs, noting that such conversations often lead to greater issues.

She also criticised the habit of presenting gossip as prayer requests or “breaking news.” In her words, people often say “God no go shame us” while still shaming others privately, adding that g0ssip should not be disguised as prayer requests.

In another post, she stated: “Yes, I’m a Pastor. No, I won’t pretend that the ‘pray for them’ WhatsApp broadcast you made isn’t √ubbish. Stop hiding g0ssip behind your hallelujahs!”

She concluded with a prayer asking God to forgive h@rmful words spoken in secret and to heal the wounds caused by speech.
