“So Mirabel, you lied to us” – Influencer Oju Babe calls her out, demands refund

Oju Babe, a Nigerian influencer who lives overseas, has responded strongly to Mirabel’s admission that her first accusation of assault was untrue.

Oju Babe demanded accountability and accused Mirabel of misleading the public in a video that is making the rounds online.

According to Oju Babe, Mirabel’s activities damage legitimate cases and have an impact on innocent guys who have previously been falsely accused.

She maintained that Mirabel must be held accountable, pointing out that similar false accusations had put men in jail all over the world.

She says the issue touches on justice for individuals she believes have been harmed by bogus claims and goes beyond personal disappointment.

She further said that after posting the original tale, Mirabel received financial help from supporters, including herself. Oju Babe insisted on the reimbursement of all donated money.

She asserted that contributors should receive their money back and said that some people contributed sizable donations in support.

According to Oju Babe, it may be more difficult for real abuse victims to come forward if they are falsely accused.

According to her, Mirabel’s behaviour is detrimental to others who are actually experiencing horrific events but find it difficult to be believed.

Consequences, she continued, would act as a warning to those who might think about making up things like this.

Read her words below:

“So Mirabel, you lied to us. You lied to me. You confessed on a voice call to VDM saying you lied. Nobody grabbed you. You lied. You know what save you? You don’t give any picture. You don’t point fingers at anyone. Because a lot of men are in prison and kirikiri are locked up abroad in other countries because of behaviors like this. You confessed to taking alcohol, cutting yourself. You now woke up, typed message, sent it to yourself, planned everything. Now that you don cast, you are saying we should help you, that you lied. No, no, no, no. All those pages, all those go fund. There was collective contribution to help this girl. You need to come to the front, please. Refund everybody back their money. That’s one. Two, I don’t know which account, some of us sent N40,000, N200,000, N300,000 to help you. Refund our money, please. We cannot help you now. We’ll help you when you come out of kirikiri. This should be an example to other people, other girls, both home and abroad. If you’re trying to do something like this, trying to come up with a cooked-up lie story, you’re hallucinating.

You have insomnia, you cannot sleep. You put yourself on drugs. You now wake up and it’s like, ‘Shh, like this?’ Oh, you got to face the consequences, sis. I’m sorry. There’s people that are actually going through situations, and they are not getting justice. They cannot come out. They cannot speak. Now, you did a caricature of a situation that people are actually going through in real life. And you want us to just let you go, forgive you like that? No. We’ll forgive you when you come out of kirikiri. Because you must be used as an example. Justice for the male boys that are actually lied on, serving jail time right now. But you, Mirabel, you must apologize to everyone that you lied to. When you come out, we will see what we can do for your situation. We use you as a scapegoat so other girls will know not to even try this rubbish.”
